Fred
Fred was rescued from a pet store that was selling sick pets. A caring family adopted him and he became part of their family. One year and 8 months later Fred passed away but not before knowing what it meant to be loved. RIP Fred
Mack
Buried in the hearts of those who loved him.....
Carla
Our condolences to Sara and her family on the loss of Carla. AHR volunteers went to pick up a male rottie at a shelter 3 years ago and while there was informed about a sweet rottie girl that needed placement. We decided to take her as well and a short time later a wonderful woman adopted Carla. We were recently informed that Carla was diagnosed with leukemia which spread rapidly. Her human angel decided not to let her suffer and helped her cross the bridge. Our sympathy goes out to Sara for her loss and we thank her for adopting an adult dog and for spoiling her rotten until it was her time.
Augie
On 8-22-07 Augie was released from his suffering. He had such a presence in the house that it is extremely difficult not to miss him. For those who feared him, they never knew him. For those who knew him, they knew he was loyal, majestic, obedient, comical, gentle and a great companion. It was two years ago that Augie came into my life and we shared a bond that I have experienced with only one other. It was my pleasure to have had you, even for a short time...til we meet again Augie Doggy.
